Collegno Basket and PalaCollegno choose the high legibility EasyReading font for their institutional communications

An enlightened choice. We can summarize in this way the Collegno Basket President Massimo Pianotti’s decision to use our high legibility font within the communication of theirs and of the organization which is holding them.

“It felt like the choice to make,” the President said. “We are one of the few non-professional companies to have a social budget – which will be presented on 18 September – this is the reason why the same company had already moved in the direction of topics such as disability, by setting up an ad-hoc team, the elimination of plastic, violence against women and autism, the main theme of a conference hosted in the Palacollegno last year”.

“We can only be glad” said the Easyreading font’s designer Federico Alfonsetti. “Choices such as that of President Pianotti confirm more and more the goodness of thesis I began to work on fourteen years ago which has being embraced year by year by increasingly heterogeneous realities”.

At the end of April, a Massimo Pianotti’s trusted collaborator – the Team Manager of the Basketball academy, Luca Amerio – proposed to face the dyslexia matter by bringing the initiative to the attention of the President.

“Why not using a font which, in the same way of the sport, and the basket is a great example of that, can be inclusive?”. The question did not resound for so long in the mind of the President who quickly contacted EasyReading, an entity he learnt about through an online research.

“We were not inspired by any other team in the choice and we are considering to put it on our uniforms, on flyers and on the official yearbook in the near future”.

Barriers between sport and dyslexia are reduced, in the sign of inclusiveness.
