EasyReading is supporting the first online edition of WUD Torino, dedicated to the Artificial Intelligence

The World Usability Day, the day launched all over the world by the User Experience Professional Association (UXPA) which this year is going to be celebrated in the capital of Piedmont – like WUD Torino – for the seventh consecutive year, the first one being only virtual and supported by EasyReading, will be held on November 12, 2020. “We are very proud of providing our support to an event about usability at such a difficult time” said Federico Alfonsetti, the Chief Executive Officer and Designer of the high legibility font. “Before supporting this year event, we already attended the 2017 edition with me as speaker about the potentiality of a font to increase the full text comprehension”.

In 2020 the day launched fifteen years ago to promote the tecnology as individual and collective development factor, which focuses every year on a different topic decided by UXPA, is dedicated to the Human Centered Artificial Intelligence, a topic very important for the town recently nominated by the Italian Govenment as headquarter of the National Center of expertise for Artificial Intelligence.  Whilst the purpose of the latter is to help ensure our safety and lighten our workload, there is the fear that this tecnology can get out of control. The heart, boundaries and perspectives of artificial intelligence, in the search for full integration of human factors and technological innovation, are being investigated by the WUD 2020.

Since its first edition in 2014, the WUD Torino has been organised by the Piedmont section of SIE – Società Italiana di Ergonomia e Fattori Umani (Italian Society of Ergonomics and Human Factors) with the Città di Torino patronage and the cooperation of national partners, including companies  (Adequat, Issnova, TIM, FCA, Intesa), research centres, universities (LINKS Foundation, Unibo, Unipg, UniRSM, Polito e Polimi, Crit) and a large network of related associations. “We are proud to have collected so many interesting contributions on artificial intelligence for this seventh edition” said the President SIE Piemonte and organizer of WUD Torino since 2014 Silvia Gilotta. “If the event is taking place again this year, we must thank the entities which allow us to do so, such as Easyreading and other sponsors”.

The seventh edition of WUD Torino also coincides with the launch of WUD Bologna and WUD Perugia and the continuation of the partnership with WUD Milano. The rich schedule of the World Usability Days, which will cover four afternoons of meetings, visual notes and interactions with expert speakers of artificial intelligence, will develop as follows:
